Happy Valentine's Day!

Wondering where to take your sweetie for a treat? These events in Columbus can't be beat:

You and your special someone could be flying high this Valentine's Day with Dinner and an Airplane Ride from JP's Barbeque Ribs and Chicken. The event includes an appetizer, dinner and dessert buffet, as well as music, dancing, games, giveaways, and an airplane ride over downtown Columbus.

It's chilly outside. This Valentine's Day take your hubby on a warm, romantic walk amongst the tropical plants in the Columbus Conservatory. After your stroll, join other couples for the Valentine's Day Tea Party and create Victorian valentines and flower crafts while sampling various teas.

And if a special dinner is what you long for, check this list of restaurants for delicious meals and more!

Art_SaleLove art? The Student Art Sale at the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) is a great place to expand your collection.

Twice a year, CCAD students and alumni sell their work at the Loann Crane Center for Design. The next sale is on December 3rd - just in time for holiday shopping!

At the show you’ll see ceramic pieces, oil on canvas, blown glass, sculpture, jewelry, watercolors and more. There’s something for every budget and artists are usually open to price negotiation, especially toward the end of the show. You could score a great deal on a truly original piece of art!

Doors open at 9 a.m. (first choice, $50 admission) and at 10:30 a.m. (general admission, $5). All admission fees fund student scholarships, and art sales go directly to the artists. The sale ends at 2 p.m so don't dawdle!

Parking in the CCAD lots is free. Click here for a campus map and directions (the Loan Crane Center for Design is building #2).
