Residents of Columbus get to enjoy a rare balance: easy access to natural beauty and small-town charm, coupled with big-city amenities, like great shopping and innovative cuisine.

And speaking of cuisine, four new restaurants have recently opened in the Columbus area and demand at least a small taste.

This concept restaurant from Randy and Tina Corbin replaced the Philip’s Coney Island location. The decor is a modern twist on the old greasy spoon. The menu still includes diner staples like burgers, pot roasts, and Coney dogs, but also includes some new gourmet specialties care of Chef Andrew Smith. Look forward to feasting on pickled beet carpaccio, BBQ duck wings, and luna burgers!

2. Rishi Sushi Kitchen

Located in the Exchange Urban Lofts, this new restaurant menu goes beyond sushi. Expect to find delicious items like fresh ramen noodles and gourmet Asian burgers to satisfy your cravings. Rishi will also feature a full bar that focuses on craft beer and specialty drinks. Keep checking for updates on the opening!

3. White Rabbit Bar & Restaurant

For high-end small plates, bar snacks, and entrees packed with locally sourced ingredients, stop into this innovative new restaurant. The long-anticipated opening of White Rabbit introduces savory dishes like foie gras, wild mushroom pot pies, and Kentucky fried duck to your palatte. Look forward to eclectic and retro-themed cocktails and hand-crafted beer. Stop by this new joint and take in the speakeasy, lounge environment.

4. C U Latte

This coffee shop has a Latin American twist and adds a little bit of excitement to the typical model. Roasts come from local favorite Cafe Brioso – the standard Columbian, French, and French Decaf, in addition to a special blend. Tea from The Ku Tea Company in Dublin, Oho is also served. You’ll find scrumptious breakfast options like omelets and Latin American pastries, as well as lunch staples, including Cuban sandwiches and quinoa mango salad. And the prices are extremely reasonable!
