Columbus is never short on excitement, but it’d be hard to top the autumn season in the “things to do” department.
OSU football. Blue Jackets hockey. Crew soccer games. Concerts. Zoo events. Apple and pumpkin picking. Corn mazes. A mac and cheese festival.
Columbus has a full slate of events to enjoy with family and friends before the snow falls, so start filling up your calendar. Consider this your Columbus fall fun cheat sheet:

Blue Jackets Hockey
Rock. Country. Hip-hop. Classical. No matter your taste in music, Columbus has a thriving music scene. Popular music venues include Newport Music Hall, Express Live!, the Schottenstein Center, and Nationwide Arena. The Columbus Symphony also has a full slate of concerts, including the kid-friendly Monster Boogie! on Oct. 14.
Things To Do At The Zoo
The Columbus Zoo has a lot of family-friendly entertainment planned this fall, including ZooClue: The Game, Boo at the Zoo and more.
Pick Your Own
Going out and picking your own apples from a local orchard or pumpkins from a patch is an official sign of autumn. The Columbus area has an abundance of orchards to select a variety of apples. Ohio’s apple season runs through late October or early November. There are also many pumpkin patches where each member of the family can pick their own gourd, or get lost in a corn maze.
Don't Be Afraid To Be Cheesy
The Columbus Mac and Cheese Festival is a family-friendly event on Oct. 5 featuring everyone’s favorite pasta and cheese dish from restaurants around the city. The Easton Town Center festival – which supports adolescent and young adult cancer research – includes live entertainment.
