Katalina’s: You’ll find plenty of comfort food that’s “Latin-leaning and Southern slanted” at Katalina’s. Founder Kathleen Day was inspired to provide organic, local food, and good conversation. Try Katalina’s original Pancake Balls with Milligan’s Bourbon Barrel Aged maple syrup or Mexican “French” toast.
Schmidt’s: Fuel yourself for a day of exploration at Schmidt’s, a German Village staple since 1886. The dining room is open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Start with sauerkraut-bratwurst balls or Schmidt’s famous pretzel nuggets. Enjoy traditional German fare like schnitzel and sausage platters.
Halftime
German Village: Explore the quaint, cobbled streets of German Village and enjoy historical sites and shops founded nearly 200 years ago. Wander through art galleries like Franklin Art Glass or The Red Stable gift shop. There are also walking tours and countless pubs, coffee houses, restaurants, and confectionary shops.
Bates & Brown: Treat yourself to a luxury grooming experience at Bates & Brown. Located on Olentangy River Road, the expert staff offer haircuts, beard and brow grooming, and straight razor shaves. Massage therapists provide 15-, 60-, and 90-minute sessions.
Kelton House Museum & Garden: The Greek Revival and Italianate architecture of Kelton House will make you feel like you’ve stepped back into the Victorian Era. Learn about the family that lived at this Underground Railroad station through self-guided audio tours or follow a costumed tour guide.

Yoshi’s Japanese Restaurant: Enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern twist at Yoshi’s. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Chow down on appetizers like the Buckeye Roll, Sashimi Trio, or Hotate carpaccio. Their extensive menu boasts stir-fried and deep-fried entrees, sushi, and combo platters.
Coaches Bar and Grill: Eat like you’re one of the Buckeyes at Coaches Bar and Grill where you’ll find classics like wings, nachos, and burgers. Try The Assistant or The Coach burger with French fries or fresh chips. Load up on soft tacos and pub fare like fish and chips or pizza subs.
The Shrunken Head: Come for draft specials and stay for the entertainment at The Shrunken Head. Happy Hour runs daily from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with $1.50 drafts and $1 shots. The bar also stocks copious varieties of whisky and bourbon. Trivia Night starts at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays with stand-up comedy on Fridays at 7 p.m.
