We bring our #GameDayAnyway series to a close with our final list of Columbus favorites. The Buckeyes won’t be facing that team up north, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of the city’s shopping and restaurants. You may even find the perfect holiday gift.

Smoked On High: Based out of a converted Victorian house in the Brewery District, Smoked On High is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Order brisket, ribs, pulled pork, or “Max ‘N Cheese” for carryout or catering, and the patio is still open.
Hoffman’s Bookshop: Find a gift for the bookworm in your life at Hoffman’s Bookshop. Located on North High Street, Hoffman’s sells quality used and rare books of all genres. Search for your favorite author or subject in the shop’s online catalog. (Currently open by appointment only.)

Hausfrau Haven: For almost 50 years, Hausfrau Haven has been “wine and beer central” for German Village. Their motto is, if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they can get it. They are the largest boutique wine store in Columbus with a wide selection of labels and prices.
The Final Score
The Little Bar: Don’t let the name fool you. The Little Bar is big on personality and drink specials. Enjoy $3 drafts and wells from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 32-ounce buckets for $10 on Saturdays.
The Thurman Café: You’ll find plenty of mouth-watering sandwiches at The Thurman Café. Thurman’s famous burgers are 12 ounces of made-to-order deliciousness served with crunchy kettle chips. Try the Thurmanator if you’re up for a challenge. The burger has two 12-ounce patties, bacon, cheddar, sauteed onions, mushrooms, ham, and much more.
